Hi!  My name is Jeanette Smith and I am blessed to be a mommy and a pediatrician.  I grew up in Austin, Texas, and started my college years at the University of Texas.  After marrying my high school sweetheart, I transferred to Texas A&M University where I graduated with a BS in biochemistry.  I attended medical school at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and was fortunate to do my pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.  Since graudation I have been privileged to work in this practice with my fabulous partners and staff.

It is truly a joy to be a part of the lives of so many children and their families.  What a blessing to be raising my children along with so many other families in my practice!  We have shared so much and learned so much from each other!  I treasure the many cards, letters, hugs, pictures, and stories that have been shared with me.  I treasure the appointments to help children in their times of illness and celebrate their accomplishments in times of wellness.  I treasure the times I have been present to help parents cope with difficult news, be it severe illnesses, chronic diagnoses, or even death.  Mostly, I treasure the relationships that I have developed over the years with both children and parents.

There are amazing things about every child and every age.  I hope to help children meet their full potential, and to help parents enjoy their children and parenting experience to the fullest.
