Flu Vaccines for 2018-2019 Influenza Season!

Hello everyone!

We have plenty of quadrivalent flu vaccine in stock! (“Quadrivalent” means the vaccine we administer covers 4 of the influenza strains that are predicted to be most prevalent this season. Other influenza vaccines can be labeled “trivalent”, meaning these vaccines only cover 3 of the strains.) It’s not too early to get your flu vaccine – in fact, the CDC has set a goal to have as many people as possible be vaccinated by the end of October!

Our patients have several options:
– you can call to make an appointment just to receive a flu vaccine
– we can administer the vaccine during a check up
– you can sometimes receive a flu vaccine during a “sick visit”, depending on the illness (your doctor will determine if giving the flu vaccine is appropriate on a case-by-case basis)
– we also vaccinate parents and other caregivers – just ask!

Here is a link from the CDC regarding up-to-date information on influenza.

Be well!
