Preetha Kandaswamy, M.D., is a pediatrician at Children’s Health℠. She specializes in caring for kids as they grow, providing well-checks to help them stay healthy, immunizations, sports physicals, and care when kids aren’t feeling well. 

She earned her medical degree at JSS Medical College in Mysore, India. Dr. Kandaswamy holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. 

Pediatrics has always been my passion,” says Dr. Kandaswamy. “Being a pediatrician is so rewarding because you see your patients grow right before your eyes into healthy, happy young adults and possibly even get to treat their kids one day.

Dr. Kandaswamy has researched cardiothoracic topics such as vaping injuries in teens and the safety of radiofrequency ablation in treating patients with heart defects. She is passionate about following the latest evidence-based medicine in her practice. She also partners with parents and guardians to improve their child’s health and well-being.

Dr. Kandaswamy enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, practicing yoga, cooking different cuisines, and traveling.
